Gilman & Bedigian, LLC is a personal injury and medical malpractice law firm with offices in Timonium, Maryland and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, serving clients in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., and—in cooperation with local counsel—nationwide. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our Site, submit a contact or case-evaluation form, call us, or otherwise communicate with us; how we use and share that information; the cookies and tracking technologies we use (including Google services); and the choices and rights you have regarding your information.

This Policy applies to information collected through the Site. It does not apply to information collected offline, through other channels, or by any third party we do not control.

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you contact us, request a free consultation, submit a case-evaluation or intake form, subscribe to communications, chat with us, or email us, you may provide:

• Identifying information such as your name, mailing address, email address, and telephone number;
• Details about your potential legal matter, which may include information about an accident, injury, medical treatment, or other sensitive circumstances;
• Any other information you choose to include in a message, form field, document, or attachment.

Please do not submit confidential, privileged, or highly sensitive information through this Site until an attorney-client relationship has been formally established in writing. (See our separate Legal Disclaimer.)

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

• Log and device data — your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, referring/exit pages, and the date and time of your visit;
• Usage data — pages viewed, links clicked, time spent on pages, scroll depth, and similar engagement metrics;
• Approximate location — derived from your IP address;
• Cookie and tracking data — as described in Section 3.

2.3 Information From Third Parties

We may receive information about you from advertising and analytics partners (such as Google), referral sources, lead-generation or marketing vendors, and publicly available sources, which we may combine with information we already hold.

A "cookie" is a small text file placed on your device. We and our partners also use related technologies such as web beacons, pixels, tags, and local storage (collectively, "cookies"). We use the following categories:

• Strictly necessary cookies — required for the Site to function (e.g., security, load balancing, form submission). These cannot be switched off in our systems.
• Performance & analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it (e.g., Google Analytics).
• Functional cookies — remember your preferences and choices.
• Advertising & targeting cookies — used to deliver and measure ads and to build interest-based audiences (e.g., Google Ads, Google remarketing, and other ad networks).

You can control cookies through your browser settings and through the opt-out tools described in Sections 4 and 5. Disabling some cookies may affect how the Site functions.

This Site uses Google Analytics and may use Google Ads, Google remarketing/retargeting, and related Google advertising products to understand traffic and to serve relevant advertising. We want to be transparent about how these work:

• How Google uses data. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information about your use of the Site and report Site activity to us. Google's ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. You can review how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
• Google Analytics Advertising Features. We may have enabled Google Analytics Advertising Features such as Remarketing, Demographics and Interest Reporting, and Google Display Network Impression Reporting. These features use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) together with third-party cookies (such as Google advertising cookies) to inform, optimize, and serve ads based on your past visits to the Site.
• Third-party advertising / DoubleClick. We and third-party vendors, including Google, use first-party and third-party cookies together to report how our ad impressions, other uses of ad services, and interactions with these ad impressions and ad services relate to visits to our Site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• Interest-based advertising. Through these tools, you may see our ads on other websites and apps after visiting our Site.

How to Opt Out

You have several ways to limit or opt out of analytics and interest-based advertising:

• Google Ads Settings — manage and opt out of personalized Google ads at adssettings.google.com.
• Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on — prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
• Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) — opt out of many participating ad networks at optout.networkadvertising.org.
• Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) — opt out at optout.aboutads.info (and the DAA AppChoices app for mobile).
• Browser controls — most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings.

Opting out does not mean you will stop seeing ads; it means the ads you see may be less relevant to you. Opt-out choices are device- and browser-specific, so you may need to repeat them on each device and browser you use.

• Respond to your inquiries, evaluate potential legal matters, and provide legal services if we are engaged;
• Communicate with you, including by phone, email, and (with your consent) text message;
• Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and our services;
• Analyze Site usage and measure the effectiveness of our marketing and advertising;
• Comply with legal, regulatory, and ethical obligations, including attorney-advertising and recordkeeping rules; and
• Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or security incidents.

If you provide your mobile number and opt in, we may send you text messages relating to your inquiry or matter. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for assistance. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase or of legal representation. Mobile opt-in data and consent are not shared or sold to third parties for their marketing purposes.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share information:

• With service providers — vendors that host our Site, manage forms and CRM/intake, send communications, provide analytics and advertising, and similar functions, under contracts that limit their use of your information;
• With co-counsel or referral counsel — where appropriate to evaluate or handle a matter, consistent with applicable rules of professional conduct;
• For legal and safety reasons — to comply with law, court orders, subpoenas, or regulatory requirements, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Firm, our clients, or others;
• In a business transaction — in connection with a merger, reorganization, or transfer of assets; and
• With your consent — for any other purpose disclosed at the time you provide the information.

Note that sharing data with advertising partners such as Google for interest-based advertising may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under certain state privacy laws; see Section 11 for your rights and opt-out options.

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is no industry-standard response to DNT signals, and the Site does not currently respond to them. You may still use the opt-out tools described in Section 4.

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, to provide legal services, and to comply with our legal, ethical, and recordkeeping obligations (including applicable rules governing client files and conflicts checks), after which we securely delete or de-identify it.

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You transmit information to us at your own risk.

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information. To exercise any right, contact us using the details in Section 14. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights, and we will verify your identity before responding.

11.1 All Users

You may request to access, correct, update, or delete the personal information you have provided to us, and you may opt out of our marketing communications at any time.

11.2 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

• Know/Access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it;
• Delete personal information we have collected, subject to legal exceptions;
• Correct inaccurate personal information;
• Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (including certain interest-based advertising) and to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and
• Non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

You may submit a request yourself or through an authorized agent. To opt out of "sale"/"sharing" tied to advertising cookies, use the opt-out tools in Section 4 and your browser's opt-out preference signals where supported.

11.3 Residents of Other States

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws (including, for example, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and others) may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of their personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising and certain profiling. Contact us to exercise these rights.

11.4 EU/EEA & UK Residents

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may have rights under the GDPR/UK GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. We process such data only where we have a lawful basis to do so.

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, resources, and social media. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted on this page, and your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
