
Anthony M. Cognetti is a trial attorney focused on representing individuals and families in a variety of complex medical malpractice and catastrophic injury cases.
Anthony brings a unique and strategic perspective to plaintiff-side litigation, shaped by years of experience representing corporations and insurance companies at defense firms. Prior to joining Gilman & Bedigian, Anthony worked for two prominent regional defense firms in Philadelphia where he gained invaluable experience defending claims involving personal injury, automobile accidents, wrongful death, and premises liability. This experience gives Anthony a comprehensive understanding of how the other side builds, assesses, and values a case.
Education and Background
Anthony was born and raised outside of Philadelphia and attended LaSalle College High School.
Anthony graduated from Saint Joseph’s University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Health Services. While attending Saint Joseph’s University, Anthony was a member of the NCAA Division I Men’s Lacrosse team and a member of the Phi Sigma Pi Honors Fraternity.
Anthony graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law. During law school, he served as the Editor in Chief of the Journal and Land & Development. Anthony also participated as a member of the National Telecommunications Moot Court Competition
Team. Anthony was a recipient of the Dean Citation Award for providing outstanding service and enhancing the University’s reputation.
Upon graduation from law school, Anthony served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Christopher L. Panos, Circuit Court Judge of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City.
Bar Admissions
Anthony is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and the United States Eastern District Court of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Philadelphia Bar Association and the Justinian Society. He also serves on the executive board of the LaSalle College High School Alumni Association.
